PartyPoker Hosts Qualifiers to WPT Event

PartyPoker is one of the leading online poker rooms. It is currently hosting a series of qualifiers for the LA Poker Classic Main Event. The LA Poker Classic tournaments are one of the biggest and most popular events on the World Poker Tour circuit. Over 700 players are expected to participate in the Main Event this year, which will be held at the Commerce Casino from February 24 to March 4.

PartyPoker will be offering a number of seats for the LA Poker Classic Main Event. Each package is worth $14,000, which includes the $10,000 buy-in, seven nights’ luxury accommodation and $2,500 spending money. The best part about this promotion is that if a PartyPoker qualifier goes on to win the Main Event there will be a huge bonus of $1 million on offer. Of this $500,000 will go to the qualifier who has won the Main Event and the balance $500,000 will be shared by the other qualifiers. PartyPoker spokesman and 2009 Poker Hall of Fame inductee Mike Sexton explained how this offer was truly amazing. He said, “Imagine if you bust out really early and then one of your fellow qualifiers went on to win, you’d still go home with your share of $500,000!”

There are daily freerolls sub-qualifiers running until the February 7. The qualifying tournaments start at $3. The main $700 + $50 LA Poker Classic weekly qualifier will take place every Sunday at PartyPoker, where one $14,000 package will be awarded for every 20 players with two packages guaranteed.

The LA Poker Classic Main Event is steeped in history. Former winners include Phil Ivey, Antonio Esfandiari and Michael Mizrachi. If a qualifier from PartyPoker wins the Main Event he will have his name cited with the best.
